The seas are flooded with plastics, endangered animal species, water shortages, the climate crisis as the biggest threat today. Insulting ecological problems, the extent of which is reflected in contemporary art. After all, it has long served as a means of social criticism, but also of engaged artistic expression. It is no different at the beginning of the 21st century.
That is why we chose ENVIRO as the leitmotif of the 6th year of Textile Art of Today as the focus we want to emphasize in the presentation of the international exhibition of textile art in its current form, which does not lack inventive visuals, crossing traditional boundaries of art, asking disturbing questions and emphasis on current technologies.
Dear artists – we will be happy if you send us works with environmental theme, because we all care about our planet and the setting of an honest artistic mirror. The ENVIRO AWARD will be awarded for the first time at the 6th Textile Art of Today.
